The GMAT, Graduate Management Admission Test, is considered by all business programs as a reliable indication of an applicant’s potential performance in an MBA program. This standardized examination is administered by computer (computer-adaptive testing) and measures quantitative, analytical and writing skills. The GMAT does not test any specific business knowledge or competence.

Scoring
Both section scores and the overall test score are reported to business schools. The overall score is within a range of 200 to 800, section scores are within 0 to 60, and the essay is graded on a 0 to 6 scale.
